S&K Attends Third Annual Beartracks Celebration Powwow

The third annual Beartracks Celebration Powwow occurred on Indigenous Peoples Day, October 14, 2024, in Missoula, MT. S&K attended for the second consecutive year, proudly representing the company and our shareholder. This public event welcomed the community to celebrate Indigenous culture with a Powwow featuring traditional dancers in regalia and various drum groups, encouraging all dancers to join in exhibitions and contests.

In addition to the Powwow, the event included a vendor market hosted by Indigenous Made Montana, showcasing Indigenous arts, crafts, and food from local small-business owners. Event organizer Martin Charlo emphasized that this celebration aims to honor the Indigenous community, educate the broader public about traditions, and foster unity.

S&K employee Troy Felsman, Director of 8a Sales, who has attended the event all three years, shared his thoughts: “The Beartracks Bridge event, held alongside Indigenous Day at Missoula’s Caras Park, was another fantastic celebration. S&K Technologies had a booth at the event, and we’re excited to be considering a potential contract opportunity that came our way from an attendee who visited us. This year’s gathering drew an even more diverse crowd, including Powwow dancers and drummers from Tribes across the region. The celebration committee did an excellent job adjusting the seating layout and adding more food vendors to accommodate the large turnout. All in all, it was a great success.”

With growing attendance and enthusiasm each year, the Beartracks Celebration Powwow continues to strengthen community bonds and celebrate Indigenous heritage. S&K is honored to be part of this impactful event and looks forward to supporting it for years to come.
